Traditional Hospitality in a Contemporary Setting
If you were to draw concentric circles around the new
Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza, you could trace elements of the city’s deep history from present to ancient times. At the centre is the contemporary 30-storey landmark hotel, located on the banks of the legendary Nile River. Immediately surrounding the Hotel are the vestiges of another era – the grand Belle Époque and Art Deco mansions of Cairo’s Garden City district. And beyond that are the ancient monuments and exquisite artifacts which have defined Egypt for centuries. From the vantage point of the 366-room Hotel, business and leisure travelers alike have a unique opportunity to experience each phase of the history of Cairo in a contemporary and elegant setting unlike any other in the city.
Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza is the company’s second hotel in the city, offering guests two distinct alternatives in the market.
Modern Design
From the wide canopied driveway leading to the Hotel’s main entrance, guests enter the vast lobby area where the sound of piano music welcomes from the connecting
Lobby Lounge. Most striking to the visitor is the fresh, modern décor. Silk wall coverings and curtains in warm tones of pale green, taupe and beige adorn the public spaces. Pink marble, light woods and deep pile carpets, specifically designed for the Hotel and manufactured locally, create a sense of warmth. Modern chandeliers of hand blown glass create the focal point of each space. The airy, open concept spaces create an ideal backdrop for the many works of contemporary art including paintings and sculptures from galleries around the world. Works by local artists such as Egypt’s Minister of Culture, Farouk Hosni, are also prominently displayed throughout.
Resort in the City
The Hotel’s fifth floor provides an oasis of calm from the bustling city that surrounds it. Here Cairo’s largest Spa and Wellness Centre, with 16 treatment rooms, leads to an extensive rooftop terrace overlooking the Nile. Amidst the lush greenery and swaying palm trees are four heated swimming pools, including a dedicated children’s pool. Seventeen poolside cabanas with private, shaded seating areas and individual showers and WCs provide an intimate place to relax and enjoy the surroundings. Refreshments, light meals and grilled specialties are served throughout the day at the Pool Bar and Grill.
A World of Dining Experiences
Dining is an international affair at Four Seasons Hotel Cairo at Nile Plaza. The Hotel has attracted chefs with experience in different parts of the world, offering guests the opportunity to indulge in authentic cuisine from the Mediterranean, Italy, China and the Middle East.
